Dr. Seuss Party for the Boys’ and Girls’ Club


Friday, March 2, 2012 from 3 pm – 5 pm
Salvation Army Worship Center at 821 South Aycock Street
30 children 1st – 3rd grades
Director: Jamie Copper

Please email Marguerite at mgsuggs@triad.rr.com if you can come and what you can bring or what you can send if you are unable to attend. We need at least one person in charge of each game and we need chapter books.

Activity – making bookmarks - Amy

Refreshments: Remember there are 30 children.
“Cat in the Hat” Cake and candles (lighter) - Amy

“Green” deviled eggs - Joy

Ham sandwiches made from Pepperidge Farm dinner rolls (12 in a package – 5 packages. We need more than one person.

Paper plates, forks, napkins. (60 plates, 30 forks, napkins)

Ice for the adult drinks - Bobbie West
(We have cups from last year.)


Activities:
Decorate Bookmarks or make bookmarks - Amy
Read a Dr. Seuss book - Carol VS
Serve refreshments
Play games: Pin the Hat on the Cat _____________________________
Goldfish bowl toss ___________________
Sneetch Ball game _________________________
Give each child a chapter book.
